Dead Head

I had a thought in my head
Where it went it is not said.
It did not hurt so it wan't at work.
I heard Ed say it must be dead.

Oh I do dread!
I do dread
The fear of it dead.

What am I to do
Without two showes?

I'm on my knees!

The thought I had

There was a knock
I opened the latch
And found my thought
In my sock.

Even though Ed had said
It was dead.
It wasn't dead
Just in bed!
