Basho

Cherry blossom spring.
Pink rain fills the empty sky.
Spring is almost dead.

A looking-glass dream,
beyond this strange world of stone.
Blue roses in spring.

Turning toward the Sun,
a golden chrysanthemum--
a tear from the sky.

The wind is silent.
The promise of a rainbow--
takes one's breath away.

The River of Stars.
The White Rabbis on the Moon.
A mystical path.

The world falls asleep.
Reality disappears.
The world is a dream.

Autumn wheel moonlight.
Hanging lanterns of color.
Turning and turning.

Moon poetry glows
on the last drop of water.
A River of Dreams.

A quiet portrait.
To walk across a mountain
with only the Moon.

Emerald mountains.
A terrace of cloud and rain.
Green gems of dewdrops.

Oceans in a bowl.
Blue water doubles the Moon.
Ten thousand miles deep.
