Love is

Love is poison to the vein.
Seductive,  toxic, sickening.
Surrendered victim to the pain.
Heart  broken, blood is thickening.

Broken promises one can't commit.
Deceived by glittered words of gold.
Selfish, no one gives a shit.
Don't buy the bullshit its been sold.

Yearning for only their attention.
Craving only their affection.
 Neglected with or without intention.
Close your heart for your protection.

Little white lies fade to black.
Words can be forgiven not forgotten.
Nasty things said you can't take back.
Stabbed in the back now the flesh is rotten.

Temptation, the desire is taunting.
Keep your self control, your self respect.
Break the boundaries your guilt is haunting.
All of your loyalty begins to disconnect.

Wondering where all the time has gone.
Were you happy or was it wasted?
Did the days keep going on and on?
Was it sweet or bitterness you tasted?

Just a puppet on a string.
Waiting to unwind.
Someone might say the wrong thing.
It's domestic by the law defined.

A monster trapped inside a cage.
Shackled with a grudge.
Your deceit has taken center stage,
But only God can judge.

Love is like a sick disease,
Feeding off your soul.
F*ck your sorries f*ck your please.
Not going down that rabbit hole.
