Time has come
Joseph Berolo 1934 (Bogotá)
Time has come....
...to catch the gentle wind and sail
above the waves, across the deep,
on to new resolve, unshaken faith,
and love the freshness of the day.
...to learn from having lost a battle;
the fragile ship of the moment sunk
in a sudden rush of fate, the finest
of it all remain amidst the spoils of war.
...to say farewell to friends absent at the gate,
lost somewhere in the parting of ways;
their hugs are missed... for in haste
the trip began devoid of a warm embrace.
...to dream the youngest dreams of yore;
beyond despair, the secrets of tomorrow
allure the mind to journey far the moors,
and reach the open frontiers of the Lord.
About this poem
to dream the youngest dreams of yore; beyond despair, the secrets of tomorrow allure the mind to journey far the moors, and reach the open frontiers of the Lord.
