What is Love

Free verse
What is love
Is it a feeling oh so grand
Or is live more like a question mark
That no one can understand
Is love kind and sweet with butterflies
Or dark and gloomy with shame
Does love make your life extra special
Or does it fill your heart with pain
Does love put a sparkle in your eye
Or an extra step in to her walk
Or is love such a complicated feeling
That it’s hard for you to talk
Love is one of these complicated things
That’s full of emotion and regret
But what is love is a strange thing
That I haven’t quite learned yet
But despite all these question marks
And things I clearly don’t know
Remember the best thing about love
It’s always good to show

About this poem

It is about the question I as a teenager struggle to answer everyday wondering what love is and if someone my age can know what it feels like.
