Ramblings of a Madman

Ryan Mark Robinson 1977 (Horicon)

I am walking…Never stopping…
Never wondering…Always thinking…
Not afraid…Just confused…
Always cautious…I’m not blinking…
I am lonely, always solemn,
Never together, I am not alone…
Never loved for, never cared for –
Endless shivering…hearts of stone…
Did she love me? Does she hate me?
I’ll always love her…Does she know?
I am here…Am I there?
Not my friend, I am my foe!
I did love her, but I killed her;
She was blind…I could not see…
Always fearing, never caring –
I don’t know me…INSANITY!!!
What is “why”?  This is because
What is “truth”?  I never lie!!!
She’s not alive, I did kill her…
Not one tear for…I MUST DIE!!!

About this poem

...a poem resembling my childhood, when I was involved with gangs, drugs, violence.... I was a good person who did bad things & lost a chance at love because of it. At 1st I blamed her, then came to the realization it was who I was as a person that drove us apart. Now a grown man with a child & wife, I truly see the errors of my old ways....the old me, whom now is "dead" so to speak.
