Poppies

Poppies in beautiful shades of red.
Helping to remember the blood that was shed.
As Symbols to our fallen heroes we wear.
The poppy shows we remember and care.
Without those soldiers brave and strong, who fought to save our freedom.
Who knows without them how life would be, they won so we could all be free.
So wear your poppy with respect and pride, for they represent a hero that died.

About this poem

My son (who has ADHD and autism) and myself wrote this for a school remembrance day. He was told that it was good enough to publish, so here we are trying to see if it could be good enough.
