I wish...

Oh, how I wish there were a way to see you just once more,
I'd wrap my arms around you like so many times before.
This time would be different, a tighter squeeze, longer stance
Oh, what I would give for just one more chance.
I'd say all the words I've said a thousand times again and take my time to just breathe you in
The pain of losing you has simply shattered my heart
They say grieving is a process, one I don't know how to start.
All the tears I've cried would surely form a river; salty water warmed with sorrow yet cold enough to cause a shiver.
I know you're up in heaven with the angels smiling down
I know you're always with me, I feel your Prescence all around
The earth just keeps on turning, two more trips around the sun, while I'm stuck on auto, all out of places to run.
Sorrow always finds me, there is no place to hide, I wear it for a dress, full of bitter pride.
