I will be ok

          I will be Ok.

I will be ok although my life has passed me by,
Who could ever know that our time is so very shy.
One moment we are kids, next a lover and a mother.
Our lifetime can be so cruel leaving us wanting for another.
We watch so very anxiously as our wee ones  rapidly grow,
Not paying any attention as the years they quickly go.
but I will be ok although my hair has gone so grey,
It's time to enjoy the grandchildren and enjoy the times you play.
Waiting for the day to come for your moment in the sky,
The day you join your family that left you standing by,
I loved you then, still love you now, I wish you could have stayed,
But that was never meant to be, for our beds were already made.
My life has passed, I've fullfilled my role,
My kids are moving along
I wish that I could be with you but  it is here that I belong.
So as you age, and watch, while your life passes by,
Don't forget  that you will be ok, and never question why.
