Free verse
Crushed breath,
Aching heart,
Lost thoughts,
Uncertainty remains.
Who am I to question or to feel?
If only the numbness returned.
Without the chaos that trails behind.
Instead pain consumes me.
Engulfs my soul.
Now I sit,
Wait
For the light to break through.
To be set free
