Ode to the Guy Who Died Here

Tracy Lescom Joyal 1969 (New Liskeard Ontario)

Ode

Another man has bought it
Or was he but a child
Caught within a played out game / A victim of the wild.
A fish / he tried to swim
Amid a school of shark
But now he lies upon a slab
For a blade has found its mark
The justice that was dealt him
Within that prison hell
Was sealed upon a courthouse
When a judge's gavel fell
