Death marked life

No more tears left to cry and all the words have been spoken
Oh how the devil loves the damned and angels curse the broken
Making my way through life as I see deaths scythe glisten
Screams are muffled by the fact no ones there to listen
The outcome never changes I think its time to let it go
Accept my new normal is a pain my past could never know
Find pleasure in the suffering and beauty in the pain
Let my healer be the thing that’s driving me insane
Allow the darkness to show me what light never could
As its begging me to leave when it knew I never would
Clear my head in the heavens and dip my feet into hell
In the pursuit of something more, i’m breaking out of my cell
Heading out to the valley where the sky greets the land
Sit down to dine with death as I go to shake his hand
And if i’m not found before the sun sets down
Leave my soul in the river and my bones to drown
Flowing up past the clouds, enter at the golden gate
Let me go on home now, before it was ever too late
