The Timekeeper



Spare a thought for the grave.
Give a tear for the dead.
And whenever the time comes
To make amends
Do so quickly.

For life is a market place.
We shall go back when it’s night.
The time is fast approaching
When we shall go back
To Him; the time-keeper…

About this poem

I have always pondered on the ephemerality of life and the complete vaporization that occurs at death. Nature generates and regenerates in cycles, hence, the constancy and stasis revolves between the experiences of salvation and perdition. Life is not the beginning but a means to an end. End is not termination but the beginning of another life...
