The Rebirth of a Ghostly Agony

"No place for me to stay
Lookin' into the heaven Like an astronaut goin' outta space
But gravity holds me down like a cripple
The wind blows away my hope
And my smile court with storm
The rope I am holdin' unto is down to a web, my soul mopes
Freedom, oh freedom it is; be happy! Said my heart."

That was her poem

Although of your pain, I had no clue
Until I read your journal, saw all the pages gloom
But you looked so bright and happy, I never knew you felt blue
Till that mornin' I saw you pale and cold that moment death wooed, again
And this time heaven made him your groom
He took your hand away as you go through the pathway of eternity
The very first time I held your hand, asked: "Are you okay?" Pleaded "Please stay"
But it's too late

The doctor said, "We lose her"
Scoff... She's been lost for years, bet she found a place that knows her name and calls her theirs
People say "Sorry for up your loss"
Maybe if I had held her hand from the start and said "I love you" She won't feel so terrible hatin' herself
And if I had said "I got you" She won't feel so lost and wandered to the extent that she found death instead

The doctor told me she had a brain tumor
I am sorry I only saw you had migraines You've been countin' your breath
'Cause the doctor told you to expect your death
In three months or two, you shall be laid to rest
You were happy as the day gets closer
The night before you died was the day I saw you the happiest
You said jokes and we laughed
Now I remember those jokes and cry
Such sad jokes!

Your smiles were roses
So pleasant and beautiful
You gave me thousands of them
I forgot that beneath each Rose is a thorn You bled and bore thousands of wounds Till you bled the last drop of blood

I hope the angels pick up their timbers and lyres
And the whole heavens go with the rhythm And lyrics, cheers to your arrival; a revel 'Cause your life has been a sad song
With no melody or harmony
But tears and worries and thousands of pleas to the Lord
To take you away from this world and its evil

I hope you are happy up there, for down here you were miserable
I am sorry I couldn't be there for you
I will wrap my memories in my arms to keep them warm
For my brain is frozen still at the shock of your departure

Your phone rings
It's your therapist callin' "Hello, It's me You've been missing sessions for the past three months now I emailed you, no reply, so I thought I'd call"
I will be the one attending now

About this poem

It's a poem 'bout havin' a loved one with mental struggle who got tired of livin' but never wanted to leave, instead they ignored their health and was lost to a brain tumor. Their loved ones did know their struggle until they died. They covered their pain so neatly that their loved ones assumed there are fine. They did not realise their pain because they never paid closer attention to them. And portrait their how their loved ones never said what they needed to hear until it was too late. They had no idea how much those person(s) tried to fight to be alive but failed. It also tells how their loved ones feel guilty for not being there for that person(s). To the extent that their death caused them to be emotionally wrecked, and mentally ill, so they too start to live the life they're lost loved one(s) lived before they died.
