LAST WISH

Sinking and drowning in thoughts
 thinking  of thoughts that haunt
 i can't speak because
 my words are tamed
tamed by bitter memories
 that i can't hold onto anymore


Once dreams of one love one life
thoughts of a wedding ring
thoughts of walking down the aisle
all now vague or maybe shuttered
washed down the drain

This scream of silence has to end
time to end crying in the bathroom
end of screaming in the pillow
time to put my head up high
and only wish that
you'd hold on a wee bit.
