I MISS MY HOME

Sophia Cosmas William 2001 (Ilala hospital)

I miss my home,
with a rugged pervious floor,
where no house girl needs to mop,
Old friends came and prayed,
Masculine men took cups of coffee and hunter.

I miss my home,
Where we had humble ladies,
With shy faces,never wearing pants
Yet learns to submit themselves.

I miss my home,
Where we laughed hard,
Real friends were there to give hand,
They lifted me up when am about to collapse.

I miss my home,
Where mama cooks umamy foods,
And papa encouraged me as son,
He showed me example of how to be super dad.

I miss my home,
Where I met real pastors,
Preaching hard on Malachi chapter four,
Telling me how I can go further.

I miss my home,
Where herbs were viable medicine,
Poems were real loved,
Touching others precious souls,
My son, let's go home.

About this poem

This poem, explain about a man who has been far away from his homeland for years. Now he has remembered how sweet that his home was, after some great development to occur. It's a real feeling of someone who missed his village while talking to his son. He still admires that village life and everything they had rather than home town.
