I am Exceptional

Used to think they could define me.
Always tried to please them to fit in.
I was depressed, distraught thinking of what to do,
Had a lot of sleepless nights, biting my nails,
Now I realize I should be me.
I'm deciding no one should tell me what to be.
I should try to stick to my principles and say.
I am Exceptional.
I can do all nobody can stop me
I can climb a mountain, cut down a tree
I can write a poem, be who I want to be,
I am Exceptional.
I can build a car, paint a picture.
I can wrestle alligators, take down Putin.
I can be like Mr Beast, can buy Google.
Because I am Exceptional.
The thought of it still eats through me,
The world breathing down my neck,
Everybody telling me to change myself,
Should I do that or stay the same?
The mere thought of it drives me crazy.
I am Exceptional.
I can stay true to myself, snub everybody else.
I believe in myself, I can do it.
Why? Because I am Exceptional.
