Father...

Vishakha Dixit 2002 (Delhi)

The day, I can't forget.
The day, I don't even want to forget.
When I was about to lose this life,
when I was about to enter a horrific tide.
I saw him stading still
And calming me down.
I saw the love and care he never shown in frown.
That day, he himself was shedding tears
But still, hugging all my fears.

I always saw him scolding me
to get good marks.
because He always showed me
His anger and my halt marks.
I knew he loves me,
but I somewhere was in doubt.
Because He never said it aloud...
But the moment I got to know
That he saved my number as "My Proud"
For a while, I felt my heart busted out,
I was the happiest person,
Who was over the cloud nine.
Yeah that's right!
That's exactly how a father looks like
Hard outside but purely soft inside...

About this poem

We all know the sacrifices of a mother but we forget to appreciate a father , So here it is this is how a father looks like. I have to accept that I cried while imagining my life without him. Thanks Papa for everything.
