Cry, dearest friend
let tears fall
when rolling down cheeks
my shoulder catching all

Mourn, dearest friend
for strangers to death
for hermits forgotten
and lonely last breath

Hold on, dearest friend
sorrows soon pass
memories of laugh
will long last

Sleep, dearest friend
rest for now
escape to dreams
until the world is well
