DEAR NIGERIA

Nigeria @62

Dear Nigeria,
I know you've been through a lot
Hold on
Weep Not
Soon, justice will have a voice.

Cry not, Nigeria
Your cries keep resounding and re-echoing.
 Lament not
Your root shall soon spring forth
No one will take your position as the king and giant.

Dear Nigeria,
Let this letter console you.
Soon, in beauty, you'll stand out and sing for joy.
At the great height, you'll cling

Cry not, Nigeria
Fly high on the eagle's wing
Your patience will soon bring gladness.

I know the pains you've faced
I've read about them
I've witnessed but a few, yet terrible moments.

Hold on just a little while
You'll soon sing the victory song
And your misery will be long forgotten,
For in your weakness is the strength buried.
My dear Nigeria.

                    Yours Forever Citizen
