Dear life

Dear life,
I received your last message
Pretense said I should say hi;
Pretense and me have now become like twins
That you can't tell us apart anymore
Pessimism sends his regards to his cousin optimism,
He says he still sees nothing good in you;
Negative negative all the way.

Dear life,
Happiness left me a few months ago,
And went after greener pastures
Sadness now occupies the space he left behind
It doesn't pay rent, but I let it stay because I feel
Comfortable in Sadness' embrace

Dear life,
How is death?
I know you guys don't see eye to eye though;
Am writing this letter in reply to the one you sent me.

Dear life
To be sincere, you've inflicted deep wounds in my soul
And am scarred and bruised inside
Though this happened years ago
The wounds feel fresh like they were inflicted yesterday

Dear life,
I am very angry at "Time"
You said time heals all wounds
But time has refused to heal mine
Time has refused to wait for me,
What exactly did I do to it?

Life,
There are times I want to be your enemy and befriend death,
Although darkness and mourning surrounds death,
He gives peace to his friends... He helps them permanently forget their problems
Death makes people heal completely

Life, what if you give me a second chance?
Life, what if I start all over?
Would you make my living worthwhile?
