By the fire

Air chilled by emotion

A lonely piece of kindling.

I pick it up 

I caress the ember with my breath,

With the emotions I can not speak 

The glow in my eyes

I ask the fire,

Why?

The fire does not respond.

I ask again, why?

The fire speaks,

I can only warm the surface.

You must find the Sun 

Only then, may your heart feel warmth.

And then,

Silence.
