All That Lingers

ran_7 2003 (Odisha)

I started feeling it,
the anxiousness within my heart,
Nights felt longer than days,
wishing my life could restart,
All that lingers is a soul miles ahead of me
waiting for me.

crowded places didn't
make me feel alive,
friendships broke apart,
I felt a burden upon my live,
all of it squeezed my heart.

cutting myself felt good,
realized letting entirety go was toilsome,
regardless of what I said
not a soul understood,
once in a month
everything within me boils up,
All that lingers is a soul miles ahead of me
waiting for me.

Finding faults in my star
was the only thing I would do,
Doubting everything within myself,
Sleeping became less relaxing
appetite became less with time,
Dark under eyes made me feel
if I'm worthy to live life this much.

I would cry all night,
holding my knees
which made me feel less lonely,
People said that I was Bright,
Only if they knew what I went through
all night very slowly.

Nothing seems possible,
Only if there was a way out,
my happiness that would be impossible,
I would be lonely throughout.

I would rather die,
burden runs my life,
giving up is the only option to try,
I hope I make it out alive,
All that lingers is a soul miles ahead of me
waiting for me.
