A man's song of betrayal
Femi Adedoja 2000 (Oyo state)
A man's song of betrayal
Sweet spark of wonder
Beauty like molten heart
Face made of tears
Smile of 32 rays
A joy to behold
O how I covet thee
To make you my treasure
Adorn you my crown
Dreams and aspirations
Great fulfilment of man
I offee you my heart
The best parts of me
Everything I cherish
A slight chance to wretch
You accept to be mine
Grapevine and hearsay
Rumours and tales
Doings and showings
Contradictions of perception
A heartcup overturned
O great betrayal
O angry dirty heart
Gold turned to rust
Hell Hath no fury
A man's cursed to cry
Why this anger?
Why this pain?
Easy access...
Dothn't reduce value
I am imperfect.
