The Orchestra Room

The orchestra room inside of my school
A hidden and unappreciated jewel
I’ve learned many musical things in there
And forgotten a lot, but eh, who cares?

Causing a ruckus on the violin reverbates off the walls
We’ll play a scratchy rendition of Deck the Halls
Trading side eyes when someone plays a note terribly wrong
Acting high and mighty when we can actually play a song

Many headaches and migraines I have endured in this space
Three years of my life here feel kind of like a waste
Regardless, I’ve had fun, no matter how mundane
Sitting here, listening to out-of-tune instruments wail in pain
