Heaven Bound

"Heaven Bound"

Hi Daddy,
How is heaven? Is it as beautiful as you described so many times to me when I was a child? Are you singing with the angels and walking streets of gold? Are you living out the stories you use to read to us from the Bible in days of old?
I know you are happy, and finally free of pain. This deep sorrow makes me long for one of your gentle hugs once again.
I miss your laughter, I miss your smile. I wish we could sit once more and just talk for a while.
I hate to think of the holidays without you by our side. Knowing you are in a better place doesn't help the grief  subside.
The hardest part of it all... we didn't get to say goodbye.
So I'll hold you close in my heart until one day I see you on the other side.

I love Daddy!
