Being Thankful
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Make a joyful noise to the Lord,
Make a joyful noise all the earth;
Show that He is loved and adored,
With creation of priceless worth.
Get rid of any your sadness,
Come into His presence singing,
Serving the Lord with your gladness,
In front of your Lord and your King.
Know that the Lord also your God,
For it is He who has made us;
So we need to honor and laud,
Of His shining glory as thus.
We are the sheep in His pasture,
Being His people giving praise;
Who has made us a new creature,
Talking unto Him when one prays.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
Give thanks to Him and bless His name;
He is the reason for living,
And why you need to go proclaim.
For you know that the Lord is good,
His steadfast love lives forever;
His faithfulness always has stood,
Enduring and will not sever.
