Me

Harold Creggan 1950 (Tadcastor)

Born Bill's bastard boy, I was evidently damned to
               follow his footsteps, anyway.
I do not apologize for actions, which brought me here
               today.
I dwell now in the shadows I did not create,
bound to situations that I hate.
That is all I know,
much more than I am supposed to say.
Willingly I did not come,
to where I cannot hear, cannot see, cannot
                               remember.
My speech is theoretically circumspect,
and these words you may never hear.
In truth, I remain a bitter man.
Maybe my fellow shadows will not find these
words, that I have tucked away.
