God Judges Everything

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

I wonder how I’ll take it when I reach the other side
And hear real truth in justice; will I laugh or will I cry?

Perhaps I won’t do either; but just stand completely dazed
At all the wonderous sights on which my eyes have finally gazed

All I know is that in Jesus’ blood my sins were washed away
But did I use my time to love or did I go astray?

Where did I build my house, upon the Rock or in the sand?
God judges all the motives of the hearts and minds of man

If I sacrificed my worldly wealth but I did not have Love
Then I am truly nothing to my God who lives above

So, if you think your standing firm, be careful you don’t fall
Because God judges everything; He makes the final call

And if you give your life away to someone who’s untrue
Then many hurts and woes will come and they will fall on you!
