Unconventional love

Free verse
True love lasts forever
at least that's what they say
and so we believe
spending our lives hoping and searching
for the one that makes us feel alive
the lucky ones find it young
while others spend anxious nights
awaiting a love never meant to be
What then can be said about my love
indeed it was true
for it was the most beautiful day of my life

About this poem

Love can be just a moment in your life when you felt the most alive. It can be with someone or an experience within. The feeling will stay with you regardless. It is something that you keep alive.
