THE LIE

Rhymed
“I’m okay” I lie,
when really, all I do is cry
a pattern of train tracks, on my wrists,
cut by a single blade, sinking in my skin.
tears run down my face,
no food I want to taste.
i hide,
i sob,
i cry
i want to die.
