Rose

Rose

She was a beautiful Rose with thorns
She was sunshine and rain
And yet we feared to never see her again
She saved us from mourning
When we felt unsafe and insecure she'd toot our horns
Making us feel better

She smiled even when she was in pain
And always made us feel good
Even though her tears poured down like rain
She held back
But eventually attacked

Blood was spilled
And innocent lives were killed
But for her we'd do anything
If she was hurt we rushes
If she was broken
We kissed all her sorrows away

She was pure and innocent
Yet devious and a devil disguised as an angel
Everything she wanted was given to her own a silver platter
Just to hear her laughter
She broke down our walls
And hushed those who whispered and talked

She didn't care
And we did not let a single hair get touched
And yet we couldn't save her

She was hurt as a kid
She bid farewell to us as we cried
She put a lid on her boxed heart
And here she layed blood spilling
And whispering
As her eyelids closed she took her final breath
As she greeted death

We cried and mourned
We were the worst thorns
We made them pay the price
As it was only right
But the emptiness could not be filled

We smiled and held each other as we jumped
Falling into a deep abyss
Knowing she'd come
For she was our home and light
And even in death
We shall forever fight
