perfect women

Mesbah Mayar 2004 (Constantinee)

                           Perfect Women

"It's beautiful indeed looking at you from far away your eyes light the brightest when you smile
your hair was like golden waves long and pretty warped in a red tie
Cheeks like cherries
Lips like strawberries
Thickly drawn eyebrows
Were you real after all
I thought you were poetry written by Shakespeare
I thought you were a painting drawn by Van Vough
I thought you were a goddess from Greek mythology
I thought you were an angel dressed as a lady
A voice like a Siren
A face like Helen
Figures like Aphrodite
Words can't describe you not even a bit
Your eyes are the trap a trap I could never escape
It's a forest filled with trees it's a wonderful trap I won't run away from
It's calm, it's magical

I believed that you're the one that caused
A million breaking heart

You're the reason wars break
You're the prize no one can have
You're that forbidden fruit placed high in a tree far from reach

Apollo saw you as Daphne
Hades saw you as Persephone

Orpheus cried and singes hoping to have a glance from you seeing you as Eurydice

Eros God of love, the one that made lovers suffer the pain of his poison .hurts himself with his own arrows after seeing you
And spends his nights next to your window
Waiting for you

Did pygmalion create you?
a sculpture Full of beauty that he couldn't help but fall in love with you

You're a desire that melts the hearts of priests bringing a war inside their souls against their faith

You stole the eyes, you stole the breaths
You took the hearts

And you stole me a humble man holding tulips in my hand wishing you would accept it and smile on my face again".
