Old is indeed Gold.

G.Hansika 2007 (Vijayawada)

Here there everywhere there's greenery;
Oh! Where shall you find such a beautiful scenery.
I would build a nice house if I lived here,
Wooden door, small window & Just behind a river.
Large trees that seem like Giants,
And small grass that grow tall.
I will bring here my friend,
And show her that nature is the new trend.
I'll click pictures of the sun-rise & fall,
And I'll hear the moon's call,
But, I realize I've come back,
After years of separation from here,
They're no more...
I run here and fore.
Only to find cracked land,
And cut trees in hand.
What has happened?
They cut them all,
And watched them fall.
Oh! What has happened to this generation?
Wouldn't it take any precautions?
Where shall I find the greenery?
Now there's only cracked land,
Which was once a scenery.
I'll quote this in my heart,
I can never leave this apart.
What they say is true...
"Old is indeed Gold".

About this poem

I wrote this out of concern for the nature due to the threat put to her by us.
