Niche Quest

Growing up I launched a quest,
 To and fro, to find my niche.
Mother told me we all had one.
I picked up a brush and an easel;
 But it came with no ease.
Rhythm played and I swayed trying my best but   things went gray.
Tried to synchronise to a beat and make a few melodies but I noted that's not it.
Strings cut loose,
My air run out,
Keys suddenly got locks.
My quest got tens.
I had made a huge mess on my trail and then in
the  weirdest scenario.
I found my solace.
All too soon I knew all I needed was ink,a sheet and a pinch of imagination to have my niche.
