Neglected

Greetings, I'm now 40.
Sometimes I reflect on, when I was a shawty.
I know my dad supported me, but it was like my mom...
Morphologically, aborted me.
Kicked In the head for no reason,  called everything, but a child of God- i guess that was my season.
I kept believing to bible, to "honor" thy mother & father...
But I felt neglected
Especially,  by my mother.
She never really supported my dreams...
She sometimes would imply,
Oh they're just schemes.
She never said my hazel eyes were lovely,
She would instead,
Call them extremely,  ugly.
She never gave me credit for the things that I have done,
But at this point, no more hindrance..
I have a race to run.
Not competing with any1, but myself.
I have to work on my goals,
And the betterment of my Health.
So I'll take the neglect as a stepping stone,
And to encourage others,
That you Must Move on.
I may not have all I want/need right now,
But I'll get there, someway, somehow.
Although I had my mother's neglect,
I love myself, and I have self respect.
