My Pathway To Hell

Preaching my eyes,
While sanctums of innocence burn,
through dawns of faithful nights.

Reception of this marvellous tongue,
tends to reek of loath.
How can they not embrace,
the truths that I have sung?

My doubts expand sizeable cysts of woefulness,
But there is no need to fret!
The words of father will pour meaning into our pits of hopelessness.

The concealed scars of investigation delivered me here,
this vision freed of blinding vines,
caused the dosage of ecstatic fantasy to no longer numb me.

Implanted alone in my mortal shell,
living according to the guidelines of those perfidious scriptures sprouted I into a rose,
but as of now, I am a thorn with determination that froze.

The drug of saviours intoxicate us,
as my philosophy shears this wool of love.
From euphoria to insomnia,
I relinquish this unjust trinket.

My pathway to hell is the same as yours; paved with good intentions.

About this poem

This Poem is about a man who preaches about Christianity and slowly realizes the absurdity of the religion. (It is based off of my personal experience of religion.)
