Lord Allow

Darin Free 1973 (Oklahoma)

Lord allow me,
I humbly pray,
Please teach my children,
Thy Holy way.
Please give me strength.
I ask you now,
To help keep my hands,
Upon the plow.

Abraham stood,
With rope and knife,
With his son Isaac,
To take his life,
He looked down on him,
With eyes filed with love,
Then the angel came down,
From Heaven above.

The King found out,
What Danial had done.
He prayed three times,
To Heaven above,
They threw him onto,
the Lion's den.
Then in the morning,
He prayed again.

Jesus came to,
Save the Tempest tossed.
I pray I'm not,
One of the lost.
My savior walked,
Upon the sea.
Then on the Cross,
He bled for me.

Lord allow me,
I humbly pray,
Please teach my children,
Thy Holy way.
Please give me strength.
I ask you now,
To help keep my hands,
Upon the plow.

About this poem

A couple months ago I was having some family issues and life seemed more chaotic for my kids than I wished it could be. I started thinking about answers as to what to do. I wrote a few thoughts down then ended up writing this out while asking our Lord above to give me strength.
