I am from the hammock

from noons slept in mother's arms

under the coconut trees

sweet and comfortable


I am from days after classes

my mother came to the school to pick me up

under the rain

wet and warm


I am from a picnic

my father carried me on his shoulders

the sun shines over us

His long shadow shaded my life

peaceful and smooth


I am from the fights

with my brother for candies

for snacks, for gifts

sugary until now  


I am from yesterday’s moments

from happy seconds

being with the family

always delighted.
