Humanity

Tobi Iyiola 1996 (Gbongan,Osun state)

Humanity
I saw the tears
Sought from the torture of despair
The beasts in uniform
Created from political precipice
And difform

From distance
I saw doubt and fear
In the face of humanity

Fear is contagious
It spreads, exposing humanity
To the invasion of brutality
But bravery incites me
Anger of incest of humanity against inhumanity

Is there any support
From the incentive of humanitarianism?
I will defend the bridge
With the last of my breath

I will defend my fellow brothers from the grip of injustice
My land will I support
Until Justice is restored
That humanity may prosper
