Heroes of Africa

Ojeagha Ugochi Shalom 2007 (Edo state)

They were tied down in shackles and chains,
Beaten up to a pulp and in pains,
Crying out in horror and in shame.

Only because these minacs came,
Seen only as their masters' game,
These was the unfortunate stories of their lives.

But I tell you, there was no gain,
That's because, though they suffered in pains,
Their masters still used canes,
As if they had no brains.

What were they not saying?
Or was there a music playing?
Nevertheless, they had no choice but to dance to it.
As that was the only remedy to their tragedy.

Notwithstanding, they came out victorious.
Even though those men were notorious,
Now they're much stronger,
Than those strangers.

These Africans are our heroes'
These men, women, children and even infants,
Are out heroes'!

They fought with all their might,
Even without a sight,
Much less, strength.
For us!

This is because, they had a dream,
Without a scream,
Into the realm of the unseen,
The future of Africans.

They saw that the Africans of today,
Would be greater,
Than those of yesterday!
Yes!!

So, they fought without a lie,
Though it meant they'd die,
They knew if they'd die,
They die for the unborn gaints of Africa!

They didn't give up, nor give in
Neither should you!
Fight racism away from the world,
So the unborn can also be free!
