Gone are the Days

Jesusa mendoza 1979 (Nueva vizcaya)

Gone are the days
When love was shared
When our world was one
Full of dreams, full of love

Gone are the moments
Filled with joys and laughter
When your eyes met mine
Oh, with your lips so sweet when you smiled

Gone are the promises you made
Seemed to be strong, seemed not to fail
Are they gone in the eddying flight of the wind?
Or will they be true someday, I hope they will

Your reminiscences rock my brain
Oh, why can't they just go away
You left me nothing but memories
I should forget them, that was my wish

You are no longer true but a statue
Yet I still long for you
No matter what happens, no matter what I do
I still love you, yes I really do

And even as tears in my eyes
Fall like crystals from the sky
I admit in my heart and in my mind
You are still a part of my life.
