Cloak of shame number 2

Matt smith 1969 (Harrogate)

I still wear my cloak of shame
It continues to weighs heavy on my all
Many links of iron chain
Each with a termination of a iron ball.

This cloak I carry always
It appears though out the day’s
It haunts me in times of progress
And upsets me in so many ways.

Upsets I need to live with
They are permanent parts of life
I know I have to accept them
And battle this internal strife.

Accepting I am worthy
To deserve a life that’s good
Is truly a challenge Daunting
But one I know I should.

This cloak it won’t define me
I owe that to those who show me love
I will battle to do good in this world
And be the man I should.
