Chapter 10 Book 13

I hope when the smoke clears
That your heart heals
And you finally see my intentions
That you think of me and smile
Knowing I saved us both from
Innocent perpetration
My intent was pure and fair
Loyalty & Trust but the lines
Never pair , they always tear
So I had a choice to make
Hold you close & deceive you
Or walk away and leave you
At least somehow I’d get to keep you
&

Then someday you’ll reach out and thank me for this
Because being strong is always on my wish list
Asking for the strength to do for others
What my lovers never did
Let go n let love come heal all this bullshit
I had to look deep within
And check with my intuition
Am I really this selfless
Or for perspectives sake , am I selfish
But come on let’s be real
It’s easier to stay than it is to truly go heal
That’s a path we’d walk alone
Maybe that’s why this caged bird
Is never home
Maybe that’s why we tent to stray
Because being alone means
We ain’t okay

So save me now
I have pain in need of airing out
I have a mind to reset
And a heart with regret
Emotions overflowing, &
With no solution - it’ll tear me down …
