A Vain Tussle With Self, Alzheimer's

Niti Bedi 1970 (Dehradun)

Ode

Frozen frost on the mind's pane..
Blocking the view down memory lane..
The struggle to melt the ice within..
Seem like a spine chilling war with self..
The orchard of evergreen memories..
Now shedding leaves at a fast pace..
Warmth of the bygone so endearing..
Spin a cobweb of entangled thoughts..
Seasons change in a lightening flash..
The cosy zone turn into an ice ball..
With each trial to search for self..
I am pushed into a darker hole ..
The loneliness is frightening cold..
With not a trace of friendly soul..
I shy from calling out for help..
All look like aliens in my space..
As I grapple further I seem to choke..
Exhausting all my saved up strength..
In the quest to trace my lost self..
I am pushed towards helplessness..

I believe in Karma and The Supreme power that governs the Universe. I a human being who believes in loving the entire creation of GOD! I believe humanity should be our foremost virtue. We are just care takers of this beautiful planet but we forget this fact and try to be the owners of this green world. Humbleness is the key to enjoy the bliss! That is eager to pour out from the depths of our hearts with every kind gesture it sprouts ...just try bringing joy to others for once to feel the endless joy.. I hail from India yes, I am a proud Indian who dearly loves her Mother land. It is in its peaceful and secure lap that I love to sit down in the stillness of the pacifying night to catch the beautiful pearly words scattered all around in the lush emerald green nature to form a string of captivating poetry..I am Niti Bedi.. more…
