A cry of time

I suppose I hold myself responsible
Perhaps I have bungled this whole affair
But I shall no longer dwell in the past
For it is but a fool’s form of torture
Knowing that one day my memory of you will fade into the distant night
Until you’re completely and utterly forgotten
For one thing I’m sure of this that
These harboured feelings plaguing our very being shall become tenable
This too shall pass
And when it does
That shall be victory enough for me .
