Beyond the Broken Glass

Beyond my eyes I cannot see

My sight impaired; to weak to keep hold

The autumn’s cold rain showers me beneath

As I envy the elegant purple clouds whispering above

When I look up the the skies, I keep dreaming and dreaming

One small black sparrow; nimble and quiet,

Too lost am I too fly beyond those stormy havens

Too dark is my heart to look,

Beyond the broken glass, up to the shining stars
