Impulse

Ese Oscar

The force, holds up a cloth, and knots
It at the back of my head and
Upon my eyes

Without hesitation, he comes
aboard, and takes the wheel

A crash, my ears whisper to my mind
Am I still alive?

Taking off the veil that was placed
I see Force as he dives
Overboard and away

Unable to leave, I am faced
With fixing the mess he has made

About this poem

An impulsive act always gets one in a mess after blinding one's sense of rationality. Once the mess is created, impulse is nowhere to be found and rationality returns to fix the mess created

Eseiwi Oscar Osaiga was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He attended Tago Education Centre and Jomaro International School, Delta state for his primary and early secondary Education. He completed his high school education at Bethel Fath Group of Schools, Benin City, Edo State. He presently studies accounting at the University of Benin.
