The Day He Killed Love

The sun rises in search of love and as the moon takes it's place, light ascends over a dark heart.
No need to look for the cause of the darkness because the brightness is created by love.
Two souls meet and through them, love is awaken, open and exposed.
As the sun gets higher in the sky, love grows and soon the two souls become one.
The moon becomes jealous and love becomes cold and the two souls can't hold on anymore.
Then the souls detach from the moon's betrayal.
The sun is angry and now love is burned, her eyes filled with tears as she allows emotion to build.
Love went into hiding and the world became silent and now the moon has the light. Rest In Peace to Love.

About this poem

This poem was inspired after an on and off relationship for 8 1/2 years. The last time we broke up was the final time, when I felt HE (my ex) killed love.
