The Queen as we know her
Born into royalty in Nineteen Twenty Six
Castles and palaces were only part of the mix
Was given a standard of life of extravagance and bling
Her uncle abdicated and left her father as king
Twenty-Five was her age when her father passed away
Her princess life completely changed with no say
A Queen so young, a Queen just wed
Making the people her priority with the crown on her head
The brightest smile one had ever seen
In our lifetime, we probably won’t see another Queen
The throne as we know, recognised around the globe
She aimed to serve with her heart wearing the robe
Muslim, Christian, Jewish or Other
She invited thousands for tea, as the nations grandmother
Little did you know, many organisations thrived from her applaud
You may have seen her Attending events and slicing the cake with a sword
From the royal foundation to the prince’s trust
The charity work by the royals was always a must
Laws were set and royal rules were in place
70 years of service she carried out with dedication and grace
Whether you agree with the Monarcy or understand the historical debate,
The Queen as we know her was a magnificent head of state
